BODY IMAGE COACH

Our regular 1:1 sessions will be the backbone of our work together. We’ll work together to understand not just what you eat, but why and how you eat and move towards a place where eating feels flexible, free and intuitive.

To accompany our work together, you’ll receive access to our signature 12 module online program to support the work that we do in our 1:1 sessions. This is not a replacement for our sessions, but a way to support it so you get more out of each visit.

Nourishing Mind & Body Program

Nourishing Recipes

If your body image takes up too much mental space, checking your reflection, stressing about photos, or constantly comparing yourself to others, you’re in the right place.

As a body image coach and dietitian, I’ll help you build a calmer, more trusting relationship with your body using a weight-inclusive, non-diet approach.

We’ll focus on body neutrality, self-compassion, and sustainable health habits, rather than another quick-fix diet to lose weight.

How A Body Image Coach Can Help You

Whether you are navigating long-term body dissatisfaction, body dysmorphia, or eating disorder recovery, you’ll know body image struggles impact more than your confidence; they affect your:

  • mood and self-worth
  • relationships and intimacy
  • social life and sense of self
  • eating patterns and food guilt
  • your ability to feel “at home” in your body

You deserve safe, non-judgmental and tailored support to feel better in your body.

Reducing the intensity and impact of negative body thoughts

Building A Peaceful Relationship With Your Body

If body image distress is taking up a lot of mental and emotional space, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to force yourself into body positivity to feel better.

Together, we work toward a more peaceful, compassionate relationship with your body by:

Repeating weekly menus to reduce overwhelm and decision fatigue

Understanding where body image distress comes from and what keeps it going

Building a foundation of body neutrality rather than forced positivity

Increasing comfort, confidence, and self-respect

Strengthening your ability to cope with difficult body image days

Building Your Tool-Box for Reducing Body Checking & Comparison

Body checking can show up in many ways;  mirrors, photos, scales, pinching, measuring, or comparison. These behaviours often develop alongside food and body concerns, and simply trying to “stop” can feel unrealistic or distressing.

We work together to to reduce the impact of body checking by building awareness, structure, and more supportive habits around food, eating, and daily life.

Together we work on:

  • Increasing awareness of body checking and comparison patterns as they relate to eating and food choices
  • Identifying practical strategies to interrupt comparison spirals that affect eating behaviours
  • Developing approaches to clothing, mirrors, and food-related triggers that feel manageable and supportive
  • Using gentle grounding and body-based strategies to reduce anxiety around meals and food decisions
  • Supporting regular nourishment and routines that reduce preoccupation with body appearance
  • Rebuilding trust in your body’s cues and needs through consistent, supportive eating

Hi, I’m Kiah Paetz, an Accredited Practising Dietitian, Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician.

I became a dietitian and body image coach after years of food rules, calorie counting, struggling with my body image and being stuck in a never ending dieting cycle. That experience led me to step away from diet culture and towards work that supports not just eating behaviours, but how people feel in their body and about themselves.

My approach is:

  • Non-diet and weight-inclusive
  • Trauma-informed
  • Neuro-affirming
  • Compassionate and non-judgemental
  • Grounded in body image research and evidence-based frameworks

As a body image coach, I support people who are recovering from eating disorders, feeling stuck in chronic dieting, navigating body changes, or living with long-term body dissatisfaction. This work isn’t about forcing body positivity, it’s about building safety, stability, and self-compassion, even when feeling at ease in your body feels out of reach.

Hey, I'm Kiah!

We’ll start with an initial session, followed by weekly or fortnightly sessions depending on your needs and capacity.

These sessions focus on understanding your relationship with your body, not just how you look, but the thoughts, beliefs, behaviours, and experiences shaping how you feel in your body. We’ll work on body image distress, comparison, body checking, fear of change, and rebuilding safety and trust, at a pace that feels supportive and manageable.

 Frequently Asked Questions

01

Can I improve my body image without losing weight?

Yes, you can improve your body image without losing weight. My weight-inclusive approach focuses on reducing body distress, building resilience, and checking our body dialogue. Importantly, this increases comfort in your body, regardless of size.
You don’t need to change your weight to change how you feel about your body.

02

Do you support clients with eating disorders?

Yes. I have extensive experience supporting people recovering from eating disorders, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, and long-term dieting. I’m also an ANZAED Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC) and Accredited Practising Dietitian, which means my work is informed by specialist training and evidence-based eating disorder care.

If you’re currently receiving psychological or medical treatment, I can collaborate with your treating team (with your consent) to ensure care is safe, coordinated, and supportive of your recovery.

03

How long does body image coaching usually take?

The timeline varies from person to person. Some clients notice shifts within a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. During our first session, we will collaborate to explore your goals, creating a plan together that feels supportive, achievable and safe.
